I went shooting with my almost brother-in-law (my wife's sister's fiance). Anyway we went out to Eagle River just north of Anchorage and fired 250 rounds with his Springfield .45. I'd only shot a pistol once before (a .44 something and a 10mm Glock a couple years ago) so I'm still a complete beginner.
Here's my target after two magazines (23 rounds) from 10 metres. I'm pretty impressed with myself.
